The project for the construction of the great White Jade Karuna Buddha on the European continent, in the province of Cáceres, Spain, has great importance and significance for the international Buddhist community because it allows building a bridge of peace, understanding and harmony with the West through the teachings and principles of Buddhism: Love and compassion. — Cáceres will be the universal city of exchange between the four cultures: Christian, Islamic, Judaic and Eastern.

Project

The seated statue of the Buddha of Cáceres will be one of the tallest on the planet and will constitute one of the emblematic images of Extremadura that will join the Spain brand in its presence in the Asian market.

Maha Karuna

Maha Karuna, the great Buddha of Peace – The statue of this Buddha dedicated to worship will be sculpted in jade stone, a symbol of great moral standing in the Asian culture. Buddhists pay homage to jade, a practice originated in ancient China.

Holy Land

The land of Caceres, which will host a sacred figure for Buddhism, will be declared «Holy Land» by the Sangha of Asia.

A 40 meter High Statue with a 20 meter High Base will seat on the higher point of the holy land.
